Did you know I offer remote bit consultations?
Did you know I offer remote bit fitting advice and consultations for riders who are outside my usual working area but still need professional guidance with bit-related issues?
If your horse feels uncomfortable in the contact, is leaning, resistant, inconsistent, or just doesn’t feel right, a remote consultation allows me to help when an in-person visit isn’t possible. In-person consultations are always my preferred way of working, but distance doesn’t have to mean struggling on your own. I regularly work with riders across the UK and occasionally worldwide when suitable local support isn’t available.
What happens in a remote consultation?
Once booked, you’ll be sent a questionnaire covering your horse’s background, current tack and the issues you’re experiencing.
You’ll also be asked to provide clear photos and video footage of your horse being worked, to demonstrate the problems you’re having.
This gives me the time and information needed to assess how your horse is responding to the bit, the rein contact and the bridle, and how rider influence may be contributing to the issue.
What support do you receive?
Remote consultations focus on practical, supportive guidance tailored to your individual horse.
This may include bit recommendations, bridle fit assessment, contact guidance and training advice aimed at problem solving, improving comfort and communication.
The emphasis is on helping you understand what’s happening, why it is happening, and how to make informed changes, rather than guessing or repeatedly changing equipment.
How can a remote consultation help?
A remote consultation can provide clarity and direction when things don’t feel right and you’ve already tried everything else.
It allows me to pinpoint likely contributing factors, explain what may be causing the issue, and offer practical, tailored advice to help you and your horse move forward.
Distance doesn’t have to be a barrier to getting professional help.
