Being a good bit fitter involves much more than just a sound knowledge about bits and how they work.
I’m qualified, experienced and independent, with over 30 years involvement in working with and owning horses. I’ve worked with trainers in many different fields such as in-hand work, advanced dressage, rehabilitation and retraining. I have an advanced dressage horse, and trained him with a classical approach. I’ve also competed in showing and jumping in my younger years.
I specialise in teaching the horse and rider about suppleness and contact, how to achieve it and maintain it and how to work with the horse, not against it.
We can also work on any issues the rider may be having. You can learn about the weight aids, how the horses body works, softness, suppleness, connection, communication and the appropriate exercises to develop the correct muscles to promote strength and performance, bit acceptance, also signs of discomfort and evasions.
