Horses and Spring

Well, this week has been a rather busy one to say the least, and I’ve met a complete mixture of horses, from just backed youngsters to advanced eventers, all with different bit requirements.
It’s wonderful to be able to help every client with suitable bits for their horses, so they can really move forward with their training into the spring and beyond.

It’s also very refreshing that many riders are now more open to moving away from more ‘traditional old school’ bits, into more modern bits that are specifically designed and developed by manufacturers to help with issues and to prevent further problems down the line.

With this more modern and scientific approach from manufacturers, us bit fitters are now more informed than we’ve ever been into how the bit should function, how it fits the horses mouth conformation, the changes we should expect to see, how it feels to the horse in their mouth, how the responses should feel for the rider and the positive changes in the horses way of going amongst other factors.
But, with all that said, bit fitting can also be a minefield to navigate, as there are so many other factors to consider such as rider level, horse training level and discipline, so what may perhaps suit one partnership, may not work for another.
So if you’d like some help with finding a suitable bit for your horse, pop us a message, we are here to help.#equinebittingsolutions #bitlady #bitfitter #horsebithelp #bittingadvisor #happyhorse
