Remote Horse Bit fitting Consultations
If you are outside my usual working area, or simply prefer structured written guidance, I offer professional remote horse bit fitting consultations.
While in-person appointments are always my preferred way of working, distance does not have to mean struggling alone. I regularly support riders across the UK and internationally when a local specialist is not available.
If your horse feels uncomfortable in the contact, is leaning, inconsistent, resistant, or simply doesn’t feel right, a remote consultation provides clarity and direction.
What Happens in a Remote Consultation?
Once booked, you will receive a detailed questionnaire covering:
• Your horse’s background
• Current tack and bridle setup
• Training stage
• Specific issues you are experiencing
You will also provide clear photographs and video footage of your horse being worked.
This allows me to assess:
• Bit stability and suitability
• Rein contact and rider influence
• Bridle fit
• Overall way of going
Because effective bit fitting is never just about the bit itself.
What Support Will You Receive?
Remote consultations focus on practical, structured guidance tailored to your individual horse.
This may include:
• Bit recommendations
• Bridle fit assessment
• Contact and rein advice
• Training considerations
• Clear next steps
The emphasis is on understanding what is happening and why, rather than repeatedly changing equipment without direction.
How Can a Remote Consultation Help?
A remote bit fitting consultation is particularly useful if:
• You feel stuck and unsure what to try next
• You have already changed bits without improvement
• Your horse’s contact feels inconsistent
• You are starting a young horse
• You want reassurance that your current setup is appropriate
Distance should never be a barrier to professional support.
Booking a Remote Bit Fitting Consultation
If you are outside my normal travel area and feel your horse would benefit from professional bit fitting advice, you can book directly via the shop page.
For riders within my usual travel area, in-person bit fitting appointments remain the recommended option wherever possible.
