It was so lovely to be back at Graceful Gaits Equestrian on Sunday. The sun was out, the autumn colours were beautiful, and it was a great day to be with horses and riders who genuinely want to learn and improve.
I love seeing the changes riders make when they understand why something is happening, not just what to do. Bit fitting is never just about popping a bit in and leaving. It’s about helping horses feel more comfortable, explaining what is happening, and helping riders feel confident in how to communicate clearly.
I also spent time with my training clients, supporting them from the ground with their dressage work for competing at their next https://www.britishdressage.co.uk/ competition. It’s always heartwarming to watch horses start to think, make changes, and try new ways of going. Everyone put in such brilliant effort and it really showed.
Special mention to Snow, who completely stole my heart… I did casually mention to Lizzie that I might just take him home, and she said if he ever goes missing she’ll just come straight to mine.
Such a lovely day. Thank you to everyone who came along, you are the reason I love my job.
